Anti-skid temporary off

4 posts in this topic

O.k., it is possible from what I have seen and what you have described here that there is water getting into a wheel speed sensor electrical connection under the vehicle.Water or moisture from the wet weather. This can short out the circuit which will cause the anti-skid message which can also in some cases cause data signal loss causing the noise you hear.It is definitely going to be a connection with the vehicle or wiring that is shorted out due to the moisture. You will need to have the wiring connections checked as well as wiring to locate the cause of the short so it can then be repaired from there.

Now if the radio is also cutting out this can be an issue with the under hood fuse panel as moisture may be getting into this fuse panel and the panel may have poor terminal crimps for the fuses or wiring faults. This will need to be checked into as well.

Moisture in the wiring or a connection is the cause of this issue. The hard part is locating where the moisture is getting in at.So I have had to trace and inspect all wiring and connections under the hood and under the vehicle for any faults found then repair the faults from there.
