Every effort is made to ensure XC60 demonstrations represent real-life traffic situations. In real-life, the driver would 'steer' the vehicle. A minor steering turn (4.6 degrees) is required to activate the City Safety system after the vehicle is started. Unfortunately, here the driver did not move the steering wheel the vehicle was simply switched on and allowed to travel in a straight line towards the inflatable car.
